Randy and Sylvia arrived at around 8:30 am and quickly set up a reduced size launch range as no motors larger than C were anticipated.  When done Sylvia was eager to launch her Stargazer which is an Estes Athena.  She flew it on an A motor.

It was a great flight and an easy recovery with the light winds.  It was so much fun she quickly recycled the rocket for a second flight and did it again, also on an A motor.

Shortly after Sylvia's second flight Tyler Busse and his Dad arrived and began prepping for a flight of his Estes Athena which was also named Stargazer.  We will call it Stargazer B for clarity.  He flew it on a C motor.

A great flight with ejection right at apogee.  Thanks to light winds it was not a real long walk and Tyler started prepping his Rascal for a launch.

Tyler flew his Estes Rascal on a C motor. But we missed the video of that one.  A nice high flight with successful recovery.

Tyler reloaded his Stargazer for another C flight into a beautiful blue sky with bright white clouds.  A great flight into a gorgeous sky.

This one drifted a bit and we lost sight of it.  Thankfully Tyler's Grandfather was there with his Polaris and with the help of his Grandfather and Dad they were able to find it.  Another great flight and recovery.

Tyler decided to rack up the Stargazer again with another C motor but had an igniter failure.  No big deal though and after replacing the igniter he had a great flight.

This flight was also lost in the sky and we weren't sure where it landed.   Again the search crew hit the field with the Polaris and were able to do a search grid and locate the rocket.

Tyler then made several more flights but changed to A motors to insure that he could locate them.  All told it was a nice launch with 10 flights, all recovered.  Breakdown of the range was quick with everyone pitching in and by 11:00 am we were on the way home.  Here is the launch summary.

A great day of flying due to the enthusiasm of the flyers, the recovery crew, and the graciousness of the landlords who allow us the use of the land.
