We gathered at Rudy's BBQ at Nolana and 281 for our monthly meeting. We had a nice attendance with 6 members present. After a good meal of BBQ, we got down to a very short business meeting. Randy gave an update on the current financial status of the club. A motion was made to reimburse Randy Ashley for some rocket kits we keep on hand as Outreach gifts to young people who attend our launches and are new to rocketry. We have given 4 kits out to date and that depleted our supply of kits and motors. Randy ordered and paid for 10 new rockets and 2 bulk packs of A8 motors with igniters and wadding to have on hand for young flyers. Randy donated half the cost and was seeking reimbursement for the other half. By unanimous vote the club will reimburse Randy $125 for the rockets and motors. That leaves $48.00 in the club. AND, I have to remember to start taking more pictures of our events/meetings. After the business Randy demonstrated a tracking device for rockets and gave a very short presentation on dual deployment for high altitude rockets. We then just talked rockets and gave a few comments on what projects we each have going. If you were there, THANK YOU for coming and if you weren't THANK YOU for being a member and we hope to see you at our next event.
